Louise Smith

Director of Operations

In her current role at Archway Community Services, Louise oversees the areas of IT, Marketing and Communications and Central Support. She is also responsible for the Archway’s CARF accreditation and holds the agency’s position of Privacy Officer.

Louise first came to Archway in 2004 where she worked as the Supervisor of our New Beginnings, Abby Dads and Best for Babies programs. After taking a break to serve as the Executive Director of the Mainland BC Military Family Resource Centre, she returned to Archway in 2015.

In addition to her role as a Director, Louise contributes to staff training and sits on the Inclusion and Diversity Committee. Some of the things she enjoys most about working at Archway are the team environment, her colleagues’ professionalism, the varied work and the collective expectation that the agency takes on challenging social justice causes.

Louise has a MSc in Kinesiology from Simon Fraser University and a Public Administration Certificate from the University of Victoria. She is a member of the BC Greens of Langley Riding Association and previously served on the Boards of the Women’s Resource Society of the Fraser Valley (now SARA) and the Langley Environmental Partners Society. She has two adult children, plays lots of tennis and lives with her husband in Fort Langley.
