Sutton Group West Coast Realty Abbotsford has secured the title sponsor spot for the 2021 Archway Jake Virtanen Charity Golf Tournament.
Mike Gibson from Sutton Group West Coast Realty shared, “Our realtors are focused on the Fraser Valley and see the needs of people in our area. We wanted to get involved with an organization that helps the day-to-day life of those in the community. We’re excited to throw our support behind Archway Community Services and value their pledge to community well-being.”
In 2019, the tournament raised over $50,000 towards programs at Archway Community Services, including services for families, seniors and newcomers.
“We made the tough decision to cancel the 2020 tournament due to COVID-19 restrictions and its negative impact on many of our sponsors,” said Steve Carlton, Archway Board President and Golf Committee Chair.
“We are delighted to have the Sutton Group West Coast Realty – Abbotsford come on board as our title sponsor. Sutton Group joins a team of loyal sponsors who have supported the fundraising event for the past three years raising much needed money for Archway programs for children, families and seniors.”
Local professional hockey player Jake Virtanen is returning as the tournament host and shared, “it is truly an honour to be able to give back to my community and lend my support to such a needed and valued organization. Archway Community Services has been helping the good folks of the Fraser Valley for over 50 years through the many services they provide.”
Depending on the COVID-19 guidelines in place as of June 2021, the tournament plans to include a full 18 holes course, lunch, dinner, silent auction and more. The tournament has sold out the last two years and registration will open in the spring.
