Simone Maassen
Associate Director of Youth, Health & Quality Improvement
Simone Maassen joined Archway in 2002, shortly after immigrating to Canada. She is currently the Associate Director of Youth, Health Services and Quality Improvement. In this role Simone oversees a variety of integrated services, aimed at making access to services and moving between services easier for people. During her time at Archway, she has had the opportunity together with her teams and community partners to develop new programs and initiatives furthering integration of services especially for vulnerable youth populations. She has also been involved in provincial networks for youth services and has been invited to present at several conferences, including internationally. Simone enjoys collaborating with others to move ideas and dreams forward.
Simone has 30 years of experience working with children, youth and families in non-profit organizations in different countries, many of them in a leadership role. She completed the Leadership 2020 program with the Federation of Community Social Services of BC and holds a Master of Science in Psychology. She is a CARF surveyor and involved in the quality improvement work at Archway.
Outside of work Simone enjoys spending time in nature, adventures with her family, reading and dancing. She shares her passion by being a Zumba instructor.
