The Bulk Buy Coordinator will be responsible for the delivery, coordination, record keeping, and advancement of Archway’s Bulk Buy Collective. The Bulk Buy Coordinator facilitates a community-led program offering members affordable, fresh produce bi-weekly. The incumbent’s role includes coordinating the volunteer operations, bi-weekly food ordering for the program, fulfilling safe food handling, and nurturing relationships with program participants and volunteers.
Your Role:
Archway’s Bulk Buy Coordinator with the Food Justice Program contributes by:
- Acting as the first point of contact for program participants, community partners, and community members for inquiries regarding the Bulk Buy Collective.
- Coordinating order pickups and communicating with participants to ensure all pickups run smoothly and efficiently.
- Overseeing the online ordering system and working with program participants to troubleshoot any technical issues experienced through the ordering process.
- Creating a volunteer schedule in advance of program delivery dates.
- Supporting and directing volunteers in produce packaging, distribution, and pickups by designing efficient systems that maximize program space and promote accessibility.
- Communicating and sending orders in a timely manner to vendors for the procurement of produce.
- Processing all online, cash, POS payments, and refunds.
- Ensuring all payments and refunds are processed and accurately logged in the spreadsheet with deposit documentation for submission to the Supervisor for review of the weekly balance.
- Assisting the Supervisor in collecting program statistics and creating reports for both the funder and agency on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis.

- A part-time position at 17 to 19 hours per week, availability Mondays to Fridays, from 8:30 AM to 4:00 PM, and some Saturdays.

Getting an Interview–you will be considered if you have:
- A Diploma in Human Services or a related field, or a combination of education, training and experience in the field of Food Security, Food Justice, or Human Rights.
- Experience working in a program delivery or program coordination position.
- Experience in building relationships with communities, community partners, and various other institutions and agencies.
- Experience working in a position that addresses food security issues an asset.
- Experience in volunteer coordination is an asset.
The Job Requires you to have:
- Strong verbal, written, and active listening communication skills; able to communicate clearly and respectfully with people from diverse backgrounds, cultures, and varying levels of English.
- Proficiency in using Microsoft Office 365, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
- Effective organizational and time management skills; able to balance and manage competing projects and priorities.
- The ability to prioritize the workload effectively amid shifting deadlines and demands.
- Strong teamwork and leadership skills.
- Ability to work Saturdays.
- Your own transportation; the use of a personal vehicle is required for program-related driving; must be able to be insured according to Archway’s transportation policy.
- Ability to walk, lift, and carry items up to 50lbs.
- Successful completion of Safe Food Handling course (Food Banks Canada) within 3 months of employment.
- Valid Class 5 BC Drivers’ License and satisfactory driver’s abstract.
- A satisfactory Criminal Records Check is a condition of employment.
