Job Summary
The Fund Development Coordinator works within the Philanthropy Services team and reports to the Manager, Philanthropy. This position is responsible for community outreach, donor and sponsor acquisition, event management, database management and other administrative tasks as required. Fund Development activities include, but are not limited to, identifying prospects, cultivating relationships, soliciting and processing donations and donor stewardship activities. The Fund Development Coordinator will expedite the processing of donations in accordance with CRA regulations and the timely recognition of donors.

Your Role:
Archway’s Fund Development Coordinator with Philanthropy Services contributes by:
- Identifying prospects, creating opportunities, and seeking sponsorship support for various agency initiatives.
- Analyzing internal information and conducting external research to qualify donor prospects.
- Managing and/or providing support for fundraising events and campaigns.
- Providing support to the department by collaborating with others on the development of marketing materials, sponsorship packages, and stewardship reports.
- Working closely with the Philanthropy Services team to ensure timely acknowledgement and receipting to donors.
- Working collaboratively with the Manager of Philanthropy to develop and implement fund development plans.
- Responding to program and donor inquiries, forwarding relevant information to the applicable people for follow up.
- Creating donor and event prospect reports for new and/or additional giving opportunities to the Manager of Philanthropy for follow up.
- Processing donations and preparing deposits for a variety of gift types including online giving and in-kind gifts.
- Using the database to track, update and store a wide range of data (e.g., profile, prospect, non-gift, and contact, and meeting notes) to maintain accurate records of constituents including donors, alumni, and newsletter subscribers.
- Writing grants and funding proposals for local, provincial, and federal government, as well as for various programs that fall under the role’s larger scope.
This position is a great fit for someone who has great organizational and time management skills, is adept in using computers and databases, is skilled in presenting information to a variety of audiences, and has strong networking and relationship building skills.
Our Offer
- Wage: $26.00 to $28.00 per hour
- A full-time position at 35 hours per week, availability Mondays to Fridays, from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM.

Getting an Interview–you will be considered if you have:
- A post-secondary certification in fundraising, events management, marketing or equivalent education and experience in a related field is preferred.
- Experience in fund development and/or events management is required.
- Experience working with Blackbaud or comparable sales management/fundraising software is required.
- Experience in project management is an asset.
- Experience working with volunteers is an asset.
The Job Requires you to have:
- Effective verbal, written, and active listening communication skills; able to communicate clearly and respectfully with people from diverse backgrounds, cultures, experiences, and varying levels of English.
- Strong organizational and time management skills; able to balance and manage competing projects and priorities.
- Well-developed computer competency; able to use Microsoft Office 365, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint to create reports, presentations, and communication with staff, colleagues, and donors.
- Skilled in using virtual meeting platforms including Microsoft Teams and Zoom.
- Knowledge and ability to use fundraising software.
- Knowledge and ability to accurately record and retrieve information in database programs.
- Skilled at communicating and presenting information to a variety of audiences in a clear, concise, and effective way for the purposes of report writing, facilitating meetings and networking.
- Able to plan, organize and conduct fundraising and marketing events.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently, prioritize work, and independently manage multiple, diverse, and competing priorities while meeting deadlines.
- Strong relationship building skills; able to build effective and respectful working relationships both internally and externally.
- Strong cross-cultural skills; able to work and communicate with people from a variety of cultural backgrounds.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and with a team.
- Knowledge of Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) regulations and compliance.
- A satisfactory Criminal Records Check is a condition of employment.
