The Fund Development Coordinator – Annual Giving works within the Philanthropy Services team and reports to the Manager, Philanthropy. This position is responsible for preparing annual giving initiatives including monthly giving and other fundraising formats (i.e., direct mail, digital marketing campaigns), donor and sponsor stewardship, event management, database management and other administrative tasks as required. Fund Development activities include, but are not limited to, writing appeals, identifying prospects, cultivating gifts, soliciting donations, and contributing to donor stewardship activities and working in coordination with other members of the Philanthropy Services Team.
Your Role:
Archway’s Fund Development Coordinator, Annual Giving with Philanthropy Services contributes by:
- Working collaboratively with the Manager, Philanthropy to develop monthly and annual giving initiatives (direct mail campaigns, digital campaigns, etc.) to support Archway programs.
- Writing compelling donor appeals and donor stewardship materials.
- Using database to track, update, and store a wide range of data to maintain accurate CRA Compliant records of activities, constituents and giving.
- Processing donations and prepares deposits for a variety of gift types including online giving and in-kind gifts, engage in donor stewardship activities.
- Supporting various agency initiatives, and campaigns by seeking sponsorships and providing direct event support.

The right candidate is equally adept at writing various donor materials, managing data, as they are at networking and relationship building and at creating compelling stories and donor communications.

- Wage: $27.00 to $29.00 per hour
- A full-time position at 35 hours per week, availability Mondays to Fridays, from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM.

Getting an Interview–you will be considered if you have:
- Diploma or Certificate from an accredited post-secondary institution in fundraising, business, marketing, communications or in a related field or equivalent professional experience.
- Experience in fund development and/or data base management or the equivalent in education and/or experience.
- Experience working with Blackbaud platforms or comparable donor database/fundraising software is preferred.
- Experience creating fundraising appeals is an asset.
- Experience in project management is an asset.
The Job Requires you to have:
- Strong verbal, written, and active listening communication skills; able to communicate clearly and respectfully with people from diverse backgrounds, cultures, and varying levels of English.
- Strong organizational and time management skills; able to balance and manage competing projects and priorities.
- Strong skills with Microsoft Office 365, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint to create reports, budgets, presentations, and communication with staff and colleagues.
- Knowledge of Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) regulations and compliance.
- Skilled at communicating and presenting information to a variety of audiences in a clear, concise, and effective way for the purposes of report writing, facilitating meetings and networking.
- Able to effectively interact in a diplomatic, collaborative, professional and results-oriented manner.
- Skilled in being able to efficiently prioritize workload to respond to changing conditions, deadlines, and priorities.
- Valid BC Driver’s License.
- Access to a reliable personal vehicle for intermittent driving needs.
- A satisfactory Criminal Records Check is a condition of employment.
