Support for Afghan Refugees & Displaced Ukrainians

198 Afghan refugees arrived in Abbotsford in mid-September and we are helping them settle into their new home.  157 displaced Ukrainian individuals have also accessed services through our Immigrant Settlement Services.

Your donations will provide access to nutrition, recreation and supplies including clothing and other household necessities.  Your gift can also help newcomers with rental damage deposits so they can have a place to call their own.

Thank you for helping refugees feel at home in Canada as they navigate a new country, language and culture.

About Support for Newcomers at Archway

Funding from the provincial and federal governments enables us to support newcomers in many ways including language classes, friendship matches, employment assistance and settlement support. Donations help fill in the gaps and provide additional services.

Archway has a long history of working with newcomers from all around the world. In 2016, Archway played a key role in welcoming refugees from Syria. We are now welcoming refugees from Afghanistan as a part of the Resettlement Assistance program which will see 40,000 Afghans resettle in Canada. We are also actively working with displaced Ukrainians and will be assisting refugees from around the world in the coming years.
