At this very moment, youth in B.C. are experiencing the highest rates of anxiety, depression and post-traumatic stress in years. Which means…
BC YOUTH NEED YOU NOW MORE THAN EVER

Will you make sure our children, grandchildren, nieces, nephews, neighbours and friends receive support before it’s too late?
In a recent survey with local youth, we found that 50% had thought about suicide in the past 90 days.
That means, your support today could be the difference between life and death.
Tiera (centre), a Foundry Client with Foundry staff
It was for Tiera. A few years ago, she started struggling with her mental health. She knew she needed help, but she didn’t know where to go, or what to ask for.
But then, she heard about Foundry Abbotsford: a collaborative community that brings services together under one roof. Counsellors, doctors and nurses are on-site. So are programs that look out for suicidal ideation and early psychosis. A Navigator makes sure youth receive the help they need, when they need it.
Tiera was sitting with a counsellor the day she walked through Foundry’s doors for the first time. And that? Well, that made all the difference.
Sadly, existing health systems across Canada aren’t always equipped to proactively respond to mental health challenges. Which means youth are often very ill by the time they are able to get treatment.
But Foundry changes that.
“I honestly know for a fact I would not be here today if I didn’t come to the Foundry,” says Tiera.
The gift of generous people just like you helped Tiera get the support she so desperately needed. If you’re willing, and if you’re able, will you help a young person just like her receive the support they need to make it through another day?
- For just $60, you can provide a walk-in counselling session for a youth or young adult who is experiencing anxiety, depression or suicidal thoughts
- For $120, you can provide counselling sessions for two youth
- For $180, you can provide counselling sessions for three youth
Your generosity could not come at a better time. Because our young people are facing a triple threat of difficulties:
- The continued social isolation of COVID-19;
- Serious pandemic unemployment rates; and
- An opioid epidemic!
Add to that the extra stress of November’s flood and it’s no wonder these kids are facing serious mental health challenges.
Will you show them they’re not alone?
The support of compassionate people like you made all the difference for Tiera. Just $60 can do the same for someone else in desperate need… like she once was. If you can, please give generously—for the future of today’s youth and young adults.
