Abbotsford Community Services (ACS) hosted our 2nd annual charity golf tournament on June 26th at Ledgeview Golf Club. 120 golfers at the sold-out tournament enjoyed lunch, a round of golf and a dinner with silent and live auctions.
“It was an amazing day and we want to thank the sponsors and auction participants for supporting valuable community programming,” said Serge Blanchette, the head of our golf committee and Past President of the ACS Board of Directors.
Funds raised by this event support the ACS Area of Greatest Need (AGN) Fund, which for 2018 focuses on three groups – babies, children and seniors. ACS provides over 90 programs and services through a mixture of government funding, grants and donations. The AGN Fund allows ACS to cover any funding gaps in existing programs and respond quickly to needs and issues as they arise.
“We are extremely pleased with the generous support of community sponsors who have guaranteed the success of our event,” said Steve Carlton, the President of the ACS Board of Directors. “We have seen this event start to grow and it promises to become a popular annual attraction.” Next year’s tournament is booked for June 25th, 2019.
