Over the last 14 years, the annual Fraser Valley Auto Mall Food Bank Drive has helped provide food to local people in need throughout the holiday season. This year marks the first time the organizers needed to pivot and modify the fundraising activities, and we are thrilled that in doing so they still exceeded previous efforts with a generous donation of $27,250 on Saturday, December 19th!
While our staff and volunteers missed seeing the usual parade through town and the arrival of fire trucks at the Food Bank last Saturday, we are so grateful for the efforts of the Fraser Valley Auto Mall to ensure food is available to all this Christmas.
Fundraising efforts were comprised of the 10 Fraser Valley Auto Mall Dealers and Automall Autobody, the three Abbotsford Save-On-Foods (Clearbrook, Whatcom and Sumas) and the Abbotsford Fire & Rescue Service. Together they teamed up to make a difference and their efforts and creativity were met with a donation that exceeded prior years. We are so thankful for their hearts to feed our community!
