Virtual Trivia Competition on April 22nd invites Abbotsford and Mission students.
Registration for the 2021 Environmental Mind Grind on April 22nd is now open. The trivia-based competition is open to middle and high school students in Grades 6 – 12 from Abbotsford and Mission.
The competition date is being held on Earth Day and students will answer questions about topics like energy conservation, water, and waste.
The annual event is hosted by the Abbotsford Mission Recycling program and is going virtual for the first time.
Students usually compete in school-based teams at the event held in the mall. In the new format, students will compete individually through an online meeting and quiz software.
“We’re excited to try out this format which allows more students to compete,” said Laura Midan, the director of the Abbotsford Mission Recycling, a program of Archway Community Services.
Students can prepare with the contest study guide and winners will receive gift cards with a top prize of $100.
Students can register at AbbotsfordMissionRecycling.ca by April 21st at noon.
