David had been a professional working with engineering firms across the country, eventually building his own consulting firm. Then in his sixties, things started to go badly. A few bad investments eventually cost him his house and comfortable lifestyle.
His health deteriorated. He was unable to work and all of his resources ran out. He hid in his small apartment.
But thanks to the help of the ACS Food Bank, Meals on Wheels, a Home Health Social Worker and Shelter Aid for Elderly Renters, David got a second chance at life. His eyesight has been restored, he is working again and things are back on track. “I had no idea all these resources were available quietly helping people. I’m just so grateful”.
