Montvue Shelter

The Montvue Shelter offers year-round support for 30 adults (ages 19+) experiencing homelessness. Previously operating as a 10-bed winter shelter since December 2021, the facility has undergone renovations to expand its capacity to 30 beds.

The shelter features 30 semi-private spaces, providing a safe and dignified environment. While staying at the shelter, guests can access meal services, washrooms, showers, laundry facilities and a private outdoor space.

Montvue operates on a referral-only basis from service providers in our community. This model was selected to prevent walk-ups, line-ups and loitering – helping to maintain a respectful and peaceful neighborhood.

The shelter’s mission is to support guests in improving their housing stability and overall well-being. With a strong focus on harm reduction, the shelter prioritizes safety for both individuals and the broader community.

To best meet the unique and dynamic needs of our guests, Montvue provides basic in-house support 24/7 alongside referrals, advocacy, and connections to a broad network of community partners.

Montvue Shelter is operated by Archway Community Services in collaboration with our partners – BC Housing and the City of Abbotsford.

• Individuals should be able to fully care for their personal needs independently.

To Access Montvue Shelter

Montvue operates based on a referral-only system. Service providers call the shelter and speak to staff to refer an individual if there is a vacant bed. If they pass and agree to the pre-screening questions, staff will set up a date and time for the referring agency to bring the client and complete an official intake.

Walk-ins are not accepted.
