Schools Out for Newcomer Immigrant Children (SONIC)
After-school program for youth in elementary school who are newcomers to CanadaSchools Out for Newcomer Immigrant Children (SONIC)
The SONIC program aims to assist kids in elementary school who are newcomers to Canada. Our main goal is to work on language skills and emotional development, helping make this transition easier for youth. Newcomer children often have a difficult time settling into Canadian society and navigating the school system. With the help of United Way we hope to alleviate those stressors for youth.
Eligibility Criteria

- Enrolled at Terry Fox Elementary School or Ten-Broeck Elementary School.
