Income Tax Preparation is offered by Archway Senior Services for those ages 55+ residing in Abbotsford.
An income tax professional helps prepare income tax forms for eligible participants. Please call 604.743.0424. to book an appointment to drop-off your tax information.
Your taxes will be completed and submitted to the CRA in approximately one week. Your tax information can be picked up afterwards.
The deadline to file your 2025 personal income tax return is April 30th.

What to Bring to Your Appointment
- Current (not expired) Gov’t issued photo ID
- Proof of SIN
- Tax information slips
- Receipts relating to expenses being claimed (ie: medical / charitable receipts)
- Any prior year tax related information (ie: T1 Summaries or NOA)

Maximum Income
- $40,000 for individuals
- $55,000 for couples
- $40,000 for single parents
Simple Tax Return
Your tax situation is simple if you have no income or if your income comes only from these sources:
- Employment
- Pension
- Benefits such as Canada Pension Plan, disability, employment insurance, social assistance
- Registered Retirement Savings Plans (RRSP’s)
- Support payments
- Scholarships, fellowships, bursaries or grants
- Interest income (must be under $1,000)
Ineligible Tax Returns
Clients will not qualify to use the service, if they have any of the following situations:
- Deceased in 2025 (this could also include the spouse of the deceased)
- Self employed or employment related expenses
- Business income
- Rental income
- Interest over $1,200
- Capital Gains or losses (T3 income)
- Bankruptcy in 2025, or prior year (2024), if 2024 has not yet been filed
- Foreign property holdings
- Foreign income (with the exception of foreign pension income – see note)
- Note: US Social Security & other country foreign pension income is accepted
To Access Income Tax Help
- You can call 604.743.0424. to book an appointment
- At the appointment, intake volunteers will review your tax documents, ask you to sign consent forms, and forward your documents to a tax preparer.
- The tax professional will then prepare and electronically file your income taxes.
- Once your return is complete, you will be contacted to pick up your paperwork and completed forms.
- If you are not available at your scheduled appointment, your appointment time may be rescheduled at the discretion of the Income Tax program.
- If you have to cancel or reschedule an appointment, please provide us with 24-hours notice.
