Job Summary

The Accounting Clerk is responsible for coding and data entry of invoices, assisting the Accounting team with financial reports, monthly reconciliation of balance sheet accounts and maintaining accounting records.

Your Role:

Archway’s Accounting Clerk with the Accounting Program contributes by:

  • Assisting in the data entry of Accounts Receivable invoices.
  • Assisting the Accounts Payable team in coding and data entry of invoices.
  • Maintaining and scanning accounting documents in Microsoft Office365 SharePoint for audit trail.
  • Assisting the Accounting team with various tasks such as recording of month-end journal entries and preparation of financial reports.
  • Collecting, verifying, and processing financial information in accordance with Archway’s financial policies.
  • Preparing and balancing period-end reports and reconciling balance sheet accounts.
  • Assisting with the preparation of the year-end working papers.

This position is a great fit for someone who has great attention to detail, is able to code and enter data with a high degree of accuracy and can meet deadlines.

  • Wage: $23.47 – $24.25 per hour.
  • A permanent, full-time position at 35 hours per week, availability Mondays to Fridays, from 8:30 AM to 4:00 PM.

Getting an Interview–you will be considered if you have:

  • Completed some post-secondary courses in accounting or have equivalent level of experience.
  • Experience working in a multiple cost centre environment.
  • Experience using Sage Intacct is an asset.

The Job Requires you to have::

  • Strong verbal, written, and active listening communication skills; able to communicate clearly and respectfully with people from diverse backgrounds and cultures.
  • Solid organizational and time management skills; able to balance and manage competing projects, priorities, and meet deadlines.
  • Proficient in using Microsoft Office 365, particularly Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze financial data and prepare financial reports, statements, and projections.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of accounting systems and internal controls.
  • Ability to work with competing priorities, requiring the ability to effectively switch tasks.
  • Ability to work in an open office space.
  • Ability to work others in direct, in-person contact, requiring adherence to health and safety protocols.
  • Ability to sit for extended periods of time, using a screen/keyboard.
  • Ability to work as part of a larger team, requiring the ability to work collaboratively with others.
  • A satisfactory Criminal Records Check is a condition of employment.
