The CBES Employment Facilitator supports participants in developing employability skills, workplace readiness, and confidence to progress toward employment or community participation goals.
The CBES Employment Facilitator focuses on both group-based and individual facilitation activities that enhance job readiness, soft skills, and engagement, particularly for individuals facing multiple and complex barriers to employment such as housing instability, physical and mental health conditions. The role works collaboratively with Case Planners, Employment Specialists, and community partners to reinforce participant action plans and provide practical, skills-based learning opportunities.
Across all responsibilities, the Employment Facilitator applies trauma-informed, equity-based, and culturally responsive approaches in alignment with Archway Community Services’ mission, organizational policies, and CBES funder requirements.
Your Role:
Archway’s CBES Employment Specialist with Community Based Employment Services contributes by:
- Facilitating group and individual employment readiness activities, workshops, and skill‑building sessions.
- Supporting participants to develop soft skills such as communication, time management, teamwork, and workplace behaviour.
- Reinforcing participant employment plans by integrating facilitation activities with individual goals.
- Documenting participant attendance, participation, and progress in required systems.
- Communicating participant needs, risks, or concerns promptly to the Supervisor or Case Planner.
This position is a great fit for someone who has strong communication and facilitation skills, has a compassionate and inclusive approach to working with individuals from diverse backgrounds and abilities, has as solid understanding of job readiness activities and can support individuals’ development of employability soft skills.
Our Offer
- Wage: $27.83 to $29.50 per hour
- A full-time position at 35 hours per week, availability Mondays to Fridays, from 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM.
- Temporary until June 01, 2028.

Getting an Interview–you will be considered if you have:
- Diploma or degree in Social Services, Human Services, Adult Education, Community Development, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience facilitating groups, workshops, or skills‑based activities in a community‑based or supportive setting.
- Experience working with individuals facing barriers to employment such as housing instability, physical and mental health conditions is preferred.
- Clear Criminal Records Check required.
- Valid Driver’s License and access to a reliable vehicle is required.
The Job Requires you to have:
- Demonstrated commitment to trauma‑informed, culturally responsive, and inclusive practice.
- Strong verbal communication and facilitation skills, with the ability to engage diverse participants.
- Written documentation skills for recording attendance and participation.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 (Outlook, Word).
- Ability to use data‑tracking tools or attendance systems.
- Ability to work in a community‑based setting delivering group and individual facilitation activities.
- Flexibility in work schedule, including outreach or adjusted hours to meet participant needs.
- Ability to effectively support participants in distress, using sound judgment and de‑escalation skills.
- Ability to have direct, in-person contact with on-site staff and clients, requiring adherence to health and safety protocols.
- Ability to manage frequent interruptions and effectively switch tasks.
- The use of a personal vehicle is required for program-related driving; must be able to be insured according to Archway’s transportation policy.
- A satisfactory Criminal Records Check is a condition of employment.
