The Supervisor, Community-Based Employment Services (CBES) provides operational leadership and direct supervision for frontline staff delivering community-based employment services.

The CBES Supervisor is responsible for supporting consistent, high-quality service delivery for individuals facing complex barriers to employment, including, substance use, housing instability, and systemic exclusion. This role ensures that program standards, organizational policies, and funder requirements are translated into effective frontline practice.

Across all responsibilities, the CBES Supervisor applies an equity lens, ensuring services are inclusive, culturally responsive, and aligned with Archway Community Services’ mission, organizational policies, and CBES funder requirements.

Your Role:

Archway’s CBES Supervisor with Community-Based Employment Services contributes by:

  • Overseeing daily delivery of CBES programming to ensure services are client-centred, trauma-informed, and outcomes focused.
  • Providing direct supervision, coaching, and mentoring to CBES frontline staff.
  • Identifying service delivery challenges and escalating issues to the Manager with recommendations.
  • Monitoring caseload distribution, service activity, and staff workload to maintain quality and equity of service.
  • Supporting coordination of outreach services, referrals, and community partnerships.
  • Supporting the Manager by monitoring staff scheduling, staffing levels, and program-related expenses within approved budgets.

This position is a great fit for an experienced supervisor in a community-based or non-profit service environment with a passion for assisting individuals facing barriers to employment.

  • Wage: $32.06 to $33.99 per hour
  • A full-time position at 35 hours per week, availability Mondays to Fridays, from 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM.
  • Temporary until June 01, 2028.

Getting an Interview–you will be considered if you have:

  • Diploma or degree in Social Services, Human Services, Community Development, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • A minimum of two years frontline supervision of a team within a community-based or non-profit service environment.
  • Experience supporting employment, outreach or social service programming.
  • Experience in managing a budget is preferred.
  • Valid Class 5 Driver’s License and access to a reliable vehicle.

The Job Requires you to have:

  • Demonstrated commitment to equity, inclusion, and trauma-informed practice, with awareness of systemic barriers impacting employment.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills, including the ability to provide constructive feedback and manage difficult conversations.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 and comfortable using case management, data tracking, and reporting systems.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with frequent interaction with staff, participants, and community partners.
  • Ability to work occasional evenings or outside regular business hours to meet operational or service needs.
  • Ability to manage crisis or conflict situations requiring effective de-escalation and problem-solving skills.
  • The use of a personal vehicle for program-related driving; must be able to be insured according to Archway’s transportation policy.
  • A satisfactory Criminal Records Check is a condition of employment.
