Thank you to Prospera Credit Union who recently secured a grant from Concentra for $10,000, on behalf of Archway Community Services. The funds will support mental health programs at Archway including counselling for youth and families.

“The Prospera community team is working hard to continue our support of our established relationships and grow new ones to support our communities,” says Jen Sibley, Community Engagement Specialist, Prospera Credit Union. “Our role as a credit union is to serve the communities that we live and work in and we could not have a better partner than Archway. They allow us to reach community members of all ages, backgrounds and economic situations.”

Concentra is a Canadian chartered bank providing financial services to credit unions, businesses and individualsCanadian credit unions can nominate projects within their own communities for the annual grants. This year, $200,000 was given to 17 community projects and since 2011, Concentra has given away $1.8 million to more than 120 communities.

“We’re so thankful to Prospera for applying on Archway’s behalf for this grant and their own continued financial support of mental health initiatives over the years,” said Rod Santiago, Archway’s Executive Director. “Although this grant was applied for prior to COVID-19, the timing couldn’t be better as the need for mental health support has been amplified recently.”
