Refugee Claimants Support Services 

The Refugee Claimants Support Services is committed to easing the transition into Canadian living, and caring for the wellbeing of refugee claimants and refugees. 

We do this by offering short-term adaptation counselling for both refugee claimants and refugees, as well as personalized employment services and supported referrals to housing or other settlement needs for refugee claimants.

    Self Care & Stress Management Sessions

    Refugees claimants can learn how to manage stress in a free group session from June 6th – July 4th, 2023 at 6:30pm – 8:00pm.

    The session will be presented in Spanish.

    Canadian Employment Law & Workplace Values

    Learn about your rights as an employee in BC and Canadian values in the workplace. This 2-part workshop for refugee claimants will be presented in English on June 7th and 14th.

    Volunteer Feature: Sieglinde

    Sieglinde has been volunteering with Archway for over seven years. Sieglinde loves teaching and “seeing people succeed”. She designed a confidence-building course for Community Connections where more than 20 women attended. She loves volunteering because it’s rewarding to see how her actions positively affect the people she’s working with.
