Martin is a long-time participant in our Discovery program, attending for more than 10 years. Sharing his experiences with the program makes him feel “like Hollywood now” which suits him well. He’d love to be an actor like in James Bond films, which are some of his favourites.
Martin attends Discovery most days and lists a number of creative pursuits as his favourites, including painting, scrapbooking and making picture frames. Discovery enables him to pursue cultural and social interests too, like cruises at Harrison Lake and Indian Arm, coffee with friends and dancing. “I’m an amazing dancer,” he shares.
Through Discovery, Martin is also able to contribute to the community. He volunteers with hamper delivery through the Archway Food Bank and has learned some sign language to connect with others who are hearing impaired or non-verbal.
