CareShare – Senior Caregivers Support Program

Offers seniors 55+ taking care of other adults with information, education, and training

CareShare – Senior Caregivers Support Program

The CareShare – Senior Caregivers Support Program is for Seniors 55+ taking care of other adults such as parents, partners, and siblings.

The program supports seniors and their loved ones through education, wellness, and recreation, including sessions with the Alzheimer Society of BC on dementia and dementia friendly communities.

Caregivers take part in information sessions on topics such as communication, safety, caregiving tools, and navigating resources.

This gives caregivers time to step back and recharge, while their loved ones take part in engaging activities led by volunteers trained in partnership with the Alzheimer Society of BC.

Locally, this includes the Matsqui, Sumas and Leq’a:mel First Nations. We give them thanks for sharing their land and resources with us.
