We are incredibly grateful that Danielle Miller of The HABIT Project shared her story of post-traumatic stress disorder and anxiety with This Is Brave, and allowed us to share it with you. We encourage you to read her recount of living in fear and feeling brave again through the support of counseling and learn how the Crime Victim Assistance Program (CVAP) was able to help her

CVAP, provided by the Province of BC, recognizes that “there are many ways a crime can affect your life. If you have been physically or emotionally hurt as a result of a violent crime, you may be entitled to financial assistance. The Crime Victim Assistance Program assists victims, immediate family members and some witnesses in coping with the effects of violent crime. It provides financial benefits to help offset financial losses and assist in recovery.”

Did you know we also offer counselling services for those with CVAP funding here at ACS?
