Helen Meyers has been an invaluable asset to Abbotsford Community Services over her last 18 years as a volunteer. Originally, she lent her time to our Lunch with the Bunch program, but since 2001 she’s dedicated herself to the Family Centre.
Twice a week Helen helps out in any way she can with the Family Centre. She greets families who attend our programs, helps prepare children’s art activities, assists with program setup and clean up, and generally “chips in” wherever there’s a need!
These days, Helen is typically in the kitchen, assisting with meal preparation for our Best for Babies program. Program Facilitator Cindy Reisig remarks that “the commitment and consistency that Helen has displayed over the course of her volunteer career with us has been incredible. We are thankful that she is a part of our Family Centre family!”
